Francesco ScognamiglioSpring Summer 2015 Milan

Francesco Scognamiglio’s woman is definitely a night owl, as once again, the designer showed a luxe collection focused on sensual eveningwear. A plethora of polished lightweight silk dresses in Thirties-inspired silhouettes had Chantilly lace appliqués that gave them a lingerielike feel, as did their delicate palette of baby blue, white and peach rose. They contrasted with the short slip styles, which had more of a rock ’n’ roll vibe. While focusing on solids, Scognamiglio also introduced floral-printed dresses and tops, sometimes embellished with crystal embroideries, which injected a fresh spin into the otherwise slightly repetitive lineup.
